Brendan Murphy - Robert Manning CANCELLED
For safety reasons we must regretably cancel this great event. Flood waters and tides on the Shannon simply make it too dangerous.
We'll post a re-sceduled date here and on Facebook as soon as we have it planned.
Happy new year to you all and let's look forward to a great year ahead on the water.

SMRC Xmas Hamper Food Appeal
Dear Members & Parents,
St. Michaels Rowing Club would like your help in supporting a special Xmas Food Appeal this year, managed by one of our parents, in an effort to reach out to families in need.
60 food hampers will be made up from donations to pickup points located in various venues around the city, to give to families in need in Limerick. This will take the effort of many, so we are asking you for your support. 3 tubs have been placed in our Clubhouse (under the noticeboard) and each tub is labelled with pasta, pasta sauces and tinned foods. One item or an item per tub would be greatly appreciated.
Also, if you would like to nominate a family for one of these hampers, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org
As always, thank you for your support.

2015-2016 Membership approaching
It will soon be time to renew memberships for the 2015-2016 period for what we hope will be a great rowing season for the members of St. Michaels.
We have kept our fees very competitive for many years and believe we offer superb value for the excellent facilities at the club. Our coaches and equipment are the envy of many clubs, and we are committed to maintaining our standards across the board. In the last year, we bought 10 new Ergs, a touring boat for the beginner camps, new radio and launch safety equipment, refurbished the weights room floor and many other necessary repairs and improvements.
In order to keep things running, we must increase our fees this year but it should be noted that we are still competitively priced, and intend to stay that way through careful management and the heroic efforts of a large number of volunteer workers at the club. We all owe them our heartfelt thanks.
The good news is that to facilitate our members, we are offering a 3 month installment option available from now til 30th Sept.
Please CLICK HERE to renew your membership.
We also look forward to seeing all our members and friends soon down at the club for our annual SMRC Urban Run in October and before that for the Club BBQ.
Thank you all,

Ok, so it's old news...
Kieran Kerr found this gem from British Movietone news. Choppy conditions and everything looked quite grey, but that's the way the world was filmed back then. Great find, thanks Kieran.
