Club Facilities
Built by the members and opened in 1941, our O’Callaghan Strand facility in the heart of the city is our main base of operations and our spiritual home. The facility includes boathouses, gym, weights room, male and female changing facilities, kitchen and a committee/equipment room. Access to the river is via a state of the art floating pontoon installed in 2017 which can accommodate multiple boats at once.
We operate a satellite facility in O’Brien’s Bridge, Co Clare, with basic facilities but which allows us access to an excellent, non-tidal stretch of the River Shannon between Castleconnell and the Parteen Weir that is well protected from the prevailing winds.
Successive committees have prioritised the development of both sites and we are constantly making improvements. Your ongoing support for club fundraising initiatives is appreciated and very necessary to achieve this.
