SMRC ERGathon “Rowed” to Paris ‘24

St. Michael’s Rowing Club, O’Callaghan Stand Limerick, is kickstarting 2024 with an ambitious fundraising event “Rowed” to Paris 2024.

The club members & supporters will Row, Run, Cycle, Hike & Walk as many kilometres as possible over the weekend of January 12th to 14th, aiming for 7,000 km, which is the distance from Limerick to Paris where seven Irish crew have qualified for the Olympic finals in July/August.

Funds raised in the ERGathon will be used for the club’s boat & equipment purchase fund & will be part of our investment in the club’s crews for years to come. We are aiming to replace some of the boats which were purchased over 25 years ago!

The club will also be partnering up with Limerick Suicide Watch who will share in the funds being raised. St Michaels and LSW have had a long & successful partnership and we are delighted to be able to help the charity again with this event.

The kilometre collection kicks off at 7am Friday, January 12th. St. Michaels squads will be rowing and erging over the weekend

We also invite our SMRC Exiles all over the world to take part. Members of the public can also get involved by submitting their Row, Run, Cycle, Hike & Walk kms to help us on our way as we virtually travel from Limerick to Paris, a distance of 7,000km.
